We had a pup from the animal control that was neutered before we got it. We had it in the house for over a year, and he never picked up his leg in the house. The same week we got a girl dog, he started marking his territory. After keeping him outside for 3 years, we found a great home for him, in the house with another boy dog. He kept his leg down in the house again.

Just because an animal gets neutered, doesn't mean that he will forget that he was a male. What is removed is quite a distance from his brain.

That is true, my boy, Dubby does it. It is for territorial purposes. Just have plenty of Urine Gone, Febreeze, Zero Odor, and Pet Stain Remover around.
