Donkey meat, how does it taste like and where in the world they eat it?

Well Now it tastes Very Much Like Horse Meat, However Tougher and Stringyer, Very lean and dry, not moist like Beef or lamb and then much dryer than pork..

You’ll find people eating it in So. California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas as well as along the Mexican Boarder Towns in Old Mexico.

In my Travels I have also encountered it All across No. Africa and many Middle Eastern countries.

Considering the Taste for Bush Meat that many countries have, Donkey meat is not that unusual.

I went to an restaurant called "Taste of India" which is located in Willowbrook, Illinois. This restaurant has a lunch buffet that includes a
variety of Indian dishes. One of the selections contains donkey. It is basically a stew that contains donkey bones with some meat attached. The stew is spiced like chili, so the meat that is chewed off the bones is chili flavored, however the unique flavor of the donkey meat comes through. I know of no other restaurant that serves donkey, but like I said it is bone stock with some donkey meat attached. They also have a complete menu of dishes of India.

the donkey is a labor animal....most work animals have a
lot of muscle which would not make for tender edible meat....animals that are eaten are usually not allowed much exercise keeping their flesh fatty and tender...
