Guys, when you meet a woman, why do you give her your stats? Stats meaning single, employment status, homeownership, you cook, etc.

I would assume that you have an interest in her. What does she need to do to get you to ask her out (she's an old fashioned gal)?

Great question and one I'm trying to figure out the answer to myself.
All I really need to know about an attractive man is if he is single and childless. Of course I'd like to know that he HAS a job but what he does is not impressive. Granted there are certain professions that scare me. If someone is a CEO it has no more bearing on my interest than if he is a concert pianist. I
n this area guys hand out the pimp card (a card with their employment information on it) Like devil said they are trying to impress women but I find it pretentious. The pimp card also does not provide us with a home number (usually) this automatically makes me suspicious because they could have a wife and/or child at home.
As someone with old fashioned values I think you shouldn't have to work so hard to get some man to ask you out. If he proves to be temporarily trustworthy, doesn't push the issue, has met some of your friends and passes a criminal background check I say you should date him if YOU choose to but only when he asks.

If you are over 18, please make sure you meet (never let him pick you up) in a public place preferably with friends. If you are still living with your parents you can let him pick you up there. But don't meet anywhere without letting them know. Your parents will no doubt jot down his license #, call parents etc. If you can't talk to your parents tell a trusted friend or relative.
Dinner and movie dates are no nos for the first date. Can't talk much during either. Keep it simple coffee or a quick lunch. Never go anywhere with him that has the potential for isolation, his boat, vaction house etc.

Good luck and be safe

If he wants to ask you out- he will. I'm not sure there is something that you can do, maybe drop a hint or clue...
