my grandma is on the racist side and does not want me to go out with black people... but there is this one guy (he is black) and i really like him and he feels the same... what do i do?????

Don't tell grandma. Date who makes you happy. Unless you're living with her in which case you may need to wait until you're out on your own.

does it matter what your granny wants?...if it does then she will always control who u date and u will never have a life not all black men are bad and your grandma should give black people a chance nobody is really racist anymore that's old

As long as he makes you happy & treats you with respect it should not matter what color he is. I'm sure it's hard for you to go against what a family member wants, but it's your choice. If he's the best guy for you, and you are happy together, maybe in time she'll change her opinion. But honestly, do what's right for you.

you are free to date who you want. If you like him and he likes you, what does color have to do with anything. Your grandma also has the right to her opinions, you to yours too. If you want to date him thats your choice, then you can talk to grandma and let her know how things are going, if they going good, she may want to meet him. I bet she wants you to be happy, and she will eventually accept your decisions.

i dont believe in Mixing...but hey its what you feel that's important..not your granny.... if she can't realize your happy with a certain man then you could just stop seeing her as much as you probably do, and i would suggest meeting his side of the family before you get in too deep with another race in a relationship... i done that before and glad i met the family on her side..... funny thing is ..i dont believe in mixing but met a mixed girl years ago and i almost fell in love with her... :S

Honey my family is the same way. Your grandmother has NO control over your life. You have to come to terms with the fact that your family will not accept this and he will not be welcome more than likely. If he is TRULY worth it then forget your family. Their backwards views should not have to affect your happiness.
