Islam IS the fastest growing religion ............. it is evident from US statistical report abt religions, it accounted a period of 50 yrs from 1934 to 1984 and found that Islam has been expanding at the rate of 230% or sthg around it, and seconds fastest Christianity is going at a rate of 46% or sthg like that, and out of that two-thirds are Women (who says Islam degrades women, should look at the stats 1st). And after 911, the expansion rate must have reached new heights, no doubt.
But, i will like to add that there is no point to adding questions like this over here, 'coz all u r gonna hear are ignorant remarks.

There isnt more turning to Islam than any other religion though it is incresing faster than it was. Christianity still has the more converts per year than any other religion. But, other than the tortured conversions some Muslims have done, the rest are mainly people who want to have a reason to hate Jews and this religion allows them to. Or, hate the US. It isnt about a faithful Christian who has seen the "light" in the Koran.

Because people are finally realizing the true meaning of Islam. All these supposed "bashing" of the religion causes people to seek the truth of the religion. And when they finally do read the Quran, they realize all the misconceptions and the truth about how peaceful and equal Islam really is:) I advise everyone to atleast pick up the Quran and read it. Stop believing the news, internet, and other people and read the book that will actually tell you the TRUTH about the religion:)

Actually it is not propaganda. It is fact. User Taimur posted this answer to one of my questions. It seems that the entire world recognizes Islam as the world's fastest growing religion. Also, to answer your question, there are atleast 7 converts at my Mosque.

Islam is INDEED the fastest growing religion in the world.

It is the only religion that has united people of all races and social standings in a way that no other religion has yet to achieve. The words of the Qur’an have moved has continually moved the hearts of billions to the point of tears with the beauty and truth of its words. Billions have found nothing more than peace, equality, justice and contentment in Islam.

The last Prophet of Islam, Muhammad, peace be upon him, is viewed as the must successful man in history ... above all of the world's most renowned scientists and even Jesus Christ (whom the Muslims also believe in). The message of One True God brought by this man swept across the world, changing lives, bringing Europe out of the dark ages, influencing all spheres of life worldwide from art to science to medicine to architecture to engineering.

Islam will continue to grow, because in light of all of the negativity surrounding it in the media, people will continue to ask questions and they will begin to unearth answers to life's questions which has plagued them all of their lives. They will find out what Islam is really about and they will accept Islam as their way of life ... without any coercion.

Like it or not, once Islam continues to get a bad rap, people will continue to talk about it and ask questions ... and more and more people will be drawn to it.

The truth is always brought to the light for all to see.

If you stopped watching fox news you would find out that religiously it is a peacefull religion. Even Bush said in the state of the union that the terrorest were perverting the religion. After 9/11, the media spawned over the ignorance of people. You fear what you don't know. Simple as that. When people find out that muslims respect and praise for human rights, animal right and even rights for women they are shocked. The culture of the people effect views as much as the "Us against them" view the media launched. Americans think that women are abused in islam. That is such a contradiction to the true religion. With catholic backgrounds and all, it looks like women are forced to do things like slaves. The reality is that they are anything but. We don't blame them for the damnation of mankind. We don't think labor pains as a punishment, in fact the Quran talks of Mary's when she was giving birth to isa(p.b.u.h)(jesus). It is considered a hardship, and just like all hardships gone in faith it is rewarded as a gift from god. When a child dies he is automatically granted heaven. When a woman dies, she can take 5 men with her(I remmeber brother, father, and husband but the others escape me). And as for the "the husband can choose to kill his wife if she commits adultry" it is considered worse for the wife to do it. Sorry to rant off the handle like that but i wanted to use an example like womens right to prove a point.

Islam is the only religion which teaches the existence of a PERFECT God. A perfect God means that there is no sharer in His Nature and His Attributes:



"Say: He is God, the One and Only; God, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not, nor is He begotten; and there is none like unto Him." (Holy Qur'an, 112:1-4)

in Islam there are no priests or clergy -- each worshipper, man or woman, has a direct relationship with their Merciful Creator -- Almighty God. Since God is the Owner and Sustainer of everything, as well as the only one who can provide true and complete forgiveness, it is completely futile to try to approach Him through anyone else.

They multiply with more kids in there families. You have to dig a little deeper to find out that Christianity is faster growing outside of the immediate families. Basically through house churches throughout the world.

I didn't know it was. What are your sources? Catholics hold the distinction of having more than any other religion. And,I'm afraid it will stay that way. The road is wide.
