It might be insomia. I always get it during summer break from school. I stay up late and sleep in and I just get used to not sleeping when I should be (like right now).

Start forming a good sleep habit. Wake up at the same time everyday. That sucks, because it means no sleeping in, but it's the best way.

Don't drink alcohol before bed and I believe exercise is a no-no as well. Don't eat large meals before bed either.

Make your bed a place for sleep. Nothing else (except sex). Don't get into the habit of doing work in bed or such things. Nope.

Sometimes a snack that has carbs in it are good for falling asleep (something like bread).

If you can't quiet your mind down, you might want to talk to a doctor or get an over the counter sleep aid. I don't believe sleep aids are suppose to knock you out, they're just suppose to help quiet you down so can fall asleep easier. Try something like Lunesta or Ambien.

Being on a web site, like porno, is against society's rules. Breaking rules feels dangerous, and boosts Adrenalin and your brain's neurochemicals. Besides, staying up too late has to be breaking some rules too. And no, I’m not your mom.

So here you are with your body & brain all fired up wondering why you can't sleep.

Breaking your computer addiction isn't enough. You'll have to work on your circadian rhythm. Benedril or sleep-ease or something with that same medication can help you get to sleep. Just get your parents permission and only use it for a few days. For example: go to bed a couple hours earlier each day until you go to bed at the right time.

Your rebellion is fueled by your friends and your online buddies (been there). Try giving your parents a break. Once I started doing things the way they said, my life became easier. Also they got off my back. They really were looking out for me, it only seemed like they resented me.

Good luck, sweet dreams.

Before you go to bed, like about 30 minutes before, eat a small snack. I suggest 1-2 oz of turkey (triptophan - spelling approximate), a cracker or a cookie, or if you are concerned about your weight - a low glycemic carbohydrate, like ½ apple, and also some nuts - almonds or peanuts are best. Do drink a glass of water with this. This is a recipe for some slow burning energy that will help level your blood sugar out for the night.

If your restlessness is due to your brain seeking blood sugar, because it is getting low in the middle of the night, this recipe will help that.

If this works, and you should know it in about 3 days if it will do it consistently, you may want to check out www.hufa.org for more info on low blood sugar, its causes and things you can do about it.

try 50 mg of benedryl (diphenhydramine hydrochloride) and a hot bath or shower about one hour before you go to bed, remember the fuller the stomache the less absorption of medication you will have so try not to eat a large meal which you shouldn't do before bed anyway. Good luck I know what you are going thru

Do you have alot of anxiety? Depression? Racing thoughts?
I find when I have alot of anxiety I can't sleep, in fact, I am on
sleeping meds now.

Maybe you should see your Dr. & get a workup and see if indeed
you have anxiety or depression. If your minds races that is indeed anxiety, & you have to try and think of something else
You need something else to think about.

I think a short course of sleeping meds may help...

It sounds like a form of cognitive thinking. You have so much on your mind, you keep thinking in circles. You should go see a psychologist or mental health therapist to discuss. You probably have alot on your mind and need someone to talk to and maybe medicine. Good luck...
