Please keep in mind that right now Man is doing the punishment what I am saying is you do wrong you will get punish, But if a person sins by way of doing wrong God is a God of LOVE, and he freely forgives and forgets,1John 4:8 And you should be punish if you comment a crime, But even still everyone makes mistakes and a Perfect God is aware of this this is why he forgives if you make a change in your life and want to be saved. Ps.37:28 Read your bible even King David commented many sins but he was sorry and ask God for forgiveness and God forgave him, But with Davids Sins he still was punish for things he had done due to his sins. We all are accountable for what we do, YOU JUST CAN'T DO WRONG AND EXPECT NOT TO BE PUNISH but do not confuse Man's Law with Gods Law Sad to say Humans tend to Judge and Don't forgive some humans in many countries still live by an old law an eye for an eye, They KILL for certain sins. But with God he FORGIVES US because he knows that we are Imperfect.

Jesus and God will forgive All SOULS at some time as they are a part of THE CREATOR OF ALL THINGS that spun them of its own body before It made the physical universe.
Mankind has set up a system of laws supossidly based on the laws of God to punish those that have made serious mistakes on Eart and to stop the bloodline of these people from spreading and creating more chaos in the world than there already is.

Yes; Elana has described some of our earthly reasons for penalizing quite well.
Also, you may recall that God instructed Moses to set up laws etc to properly govern the people.
many of those laws would have been inspired by God.
So you can read them in the first few books of the Bible [not in Genesis I believe].
I must admit, it was hard to follow this question re God.
As for God's punishment:
We already experience much of this on earth - like when we feel terrible that we realize we have hurt someone, or made a TERRIBLE SLIP OF THE TONGUE, ETC.
We also suffer physically for becoming winebibbers, or Puffers, etc.
Drugs hurt and even kill.
Abusing our bodies by using them are not God's way.
If we remain wicked, without repenting, we also become subject to the punishments and buffetings of Satan after this life as well!
This receiving of "Wages of he whom we listed to obey" principle is OFTEN spoken of in the scriptures.
The wages of sin is Death, we are told.
Not all people are forgiven.
God is hopeful and willing to forgive all; but we know that most will not ask forgiveness and truly repent before Him.
Only if we repent are we truly forgiven, and even then, we often pay a grievance price in this life, before this sin is properly purged from us.
Jesus payed the Ultimate price - that allows us to return to live with our Father in Heaven in the Afterlife - in the eternities, but WE often still pay a price of grief and remorse here first, and truly wish we had never done these bad things.
Often we grieve for the consequences we have brought upon others as a result of our poor judgment and 'handiwork'.
Sometimes we have even influenced others to follow our bad example in life.
Personally realizing and facing that can take quite some time and cause great anguish in our lives, even if we go and apologize to them for our poor example - although this does make it easier to bear.
Fortunately, however, the temporary earthly price is Ultimately washed away in the eternities through the blood of Christ for all those who sincerely repent.

God and judgment does mix that's why He will have in the end a Judgment Day! Every person that sins should be punished but if they are contrite and are remorseful they deserve a second chance. Jesus said seventy times seventy for as forgiveness. I believe it cannot be abused because no one can just believe in God and expect to not be punished whether here or in Hell.

You don't understand God correctly. God will punish all sinners that do not repent in the lake of fire. "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whormongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." - Revelation21:8. Jesus said " I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me". Jesus is saying that He is the exclusive and only way to enter heaven where God abides. All other ways lead to destruction. We have all sinned against a Holy, Righteous God and He will judge our lives based on the 10 Commandments. Reading Revelation 21:8, I can say all people on this earth are guilty of at least one of those crimes against God. I know I have lied and therefore have sinned against God and deserve punishment in the lake of fire for eternity. But God is so good that He died for our sins, nailed to a tree in a man named Jesus who is the Christ so that we could be with God for eternity in heaven. That is goodness. Amen. But you must repent (make a u-turn) from your sins and trust Jesus as your Savior from the wrath of God which is to come on the unrepentant on Judgment Day.

Of course we should have punishments for crimes here on earth! If murderers were just allowed to kill everyone with no earthly punishments, mankind would have ceased to exist a long time ago! They would have killed everyone.
God doesn't say we shouldn't have earthly punishments for earthly crimes. He says that it is up to him alone to judge whether a person is worthy for heaven or not. And we also should not be judgemental towards others. That means we shouldn't like or dislike them because of their looks, money situations, or others along those lines. He's never said that punishments for crimes aren't allowed.

Separating Life from purpose is the problem. If you consider that all Life has the purpose of creating a usefulness to add to the future universe, and that all written laws (whether 'inspired' or govern'mental') are statutory. That means that they are all Man's interpretation of the universe (or God) and usually put in place by bullies who want to control the intelligence and creativity of the individual. We choose, as individuals, to abide by social laws or moral codes in exchange for the benefits of society. If someone chooses to not abide by those codes, then they become fair game for society's wrath (whether it is in the name of 'law' or 'God'). God teaches us to forgive because in the afterlife, we will ALL be there, whether we got along with each other in life or not. The afterlife gives another chance to add our creativity to the universe, but to do so with a much more powerful ability. The NET result is the key: We have to contribute more in creative usefulness than we use up in resources. In this life, we need to be frugal, and understand usufruct and stewardship and the responsibility of Dominion over the world. In the afterlife, we need to realize that nonforgiveness will use up all of our energy and we won't have any lifeforce left to do anything useful to God or the universe.

I thought the whole concept of redemption is that the meek will get
justice in death. That is, you're gonna get screwed while you're alive
so wait 'till your dead for the good stuff to happen.
Within the Christian doctrine, only God can hand out Justice (capital J).
However, we have a penal system, not to hand out Justice, but to:
1: Protect society from the criminal
2: Exact retribution on behalf of the victim and loved ones
3: Rehabilitate the criminal (currently virtually ignored)
4: Protect the criminal from society (lynching).

God only forgives those who seek forgiveness. No where in the Bible does it say God forgives all people. God is WILLING to forgive all people. God is love.
However--You must seek Jesus(God) forgiveness and accept the His sacrafice He made on the cross for your sins. He wants to forgive you, but cannot, without you accepting HIm.
God DOES believe in punishment for crimes(read the Bible, some pretty POWERFUL punishments handed out)....but God wants to forgive you. We are His creation.
Once you ACCEPT God(Jesus) as your personal saviour, you will follow laws and not do crimes, if you truly believe in Him.

Let me ask you this. If your child went into your room, and stole something of yours. Would you go into their room, and steal something of theirs to teach them?
why would you steal to teach them not to steal?
So why should he kill a er?
I don't see what part you see as god doesn't see a punishment for sins. When in the bible he clearly punishes his people.
He struck the people with boils because they stole from unholy lands, and kept the items for their own.
It's not that God doesn't believe in punishment, it's that he doesn't believe in Grudges.
If you have learned, he will forgive you. I don't think it's as simple as the church has made it sounds today. You have to mean it when you apologize and confess...meaning whatever consequences follow, you will except them.
As far as the punishments, DURING, judgement. they're not punishments.
If you have a child who you're trying to teach not to cross the street because they'll get hit...and they step out into the road , you're going to grab their hand and yank them back... you don't want them to die from on oncoming car.
And to the kid, it seems like a punishment.
hope that helps.
