Yes it is a safe plane.
Take-off feels like being in the back seat of a car as it accelerates up to highway speed. Just before the plane begins flying you will feel the plane moving both side to side and up/down, this is normal. The plan will then point its nose upward and may roll a little to the left or right as the pilot climbs to a higher altitude and turns in the proper direction. The acceleration feeling will quickly stop and you won't know that you are moving quickly.
Don't be surprised to hear some bumps and bangs as the doors for the landing gear open and close. Also some devices on the wings called flaps will extend and be retracted during takeoff and landing but this is also normal. If you pay attention to the flight attendant(s) and only get excited if they do you will look like a seasoned traveller.
If you don't tell anyone that you are afraid to fly and pretend you aren't no one will know. You are about to travel in THE safest form of travel know to mankind. The ride to the airport is more dangerous than the flight. Since you aren't afraid to ride in a car you shouldn't be afraid to fly either.
Good luck, enjoy the new experience.

Embraer 145 is a Brazilian aircraft among the best aircrafts...like Gulfstreams...Bombardiers.
Unlike the bigger aircrafts, it's take-off would be a bit more aggressive & faster...due to two powerful engines in the rear and a great aerodynamic shape...but nothing to worry. It has been designed like that and its body is very strong. In fact these new generation aircrafts are more dynamic & safer...equipped with latest technologies...enjoy it! Surprisingly you won't feel the turbulence often due to its speed and aerodynamic shape...so fly relaxing

Don't worry about it. If it were not safe it wouldn't be flying. When you take off you usually get going around 150 to 200 mph before you take off, at least in airline jets. You can feel some of the speed but it isn't that bad. You know when you lift off and it just feels amazing. Just enjoy your flight. Don't worry.

It won't really seem all that different to being in a larger jet in terms of the flight experience. But yes the cabin will feel noticably smaller. It is every bit as safe as a larger aircraft.

Yeah, it's safe. Be sure to duck your head if you are tall.
Takeoff is very exhilarating, first you taxi to the end of the runway, then the pilot steers you into the right position, then he applies power until you are being pushed back into your seat. The roar of the engines and the power.........
