Regardless of which faith/religion you practice, do you support the idea of missionary work, i.e. going out into the world with a view towards ultimately convincing others of the superiority of your faith/religion, be it through discussion, debate, good deeds, charity, etc.?

Have you engaged in this kind of activity yourself? Have you supported it financially or otherwise? Why or why not?

Missionary work is wrong.

Missionary work leaves people worse of than they were prior to the Mission.

Religion should not be force fed to people. I think it is wrong to offer help with the motive of proselytizing.

Much of missionary work is done so people can raise money for it, though little if any of that money actually helps the people it was intended for... and it ends up paying for someones gulf stream jet.

absolutely not

while I have nothing against honest debate as well as good deeds and charity it too often dose not happen like that in history.

if you look at the root of all religious persecution it comes from the idea that my religion is right and if you do not follow it you will suffer. So first I try and help you by showing you the right way. Then if you reject me I get angry at you. I try to manipulate your children, I restrict good jobs from you because you are outside the faith so that you will join for financial reasons. I impose a tax on you for being a non member. I allow the peasants to attack your village and steal your possessions and rape your daughters. Eventually I get tired of torturing you and simply steal everything you have and expel you out of my country.

no missionary work might start out good but often the people you try to help end up suffering more than without you.

I do not support missionary work. I have read so many books about how it destroys cultures and religions. If someone truly wants to help they should do so without conditions. The food and medicine should be given freely while the native cultures thrive.

Not really, but I can tolerate it.
The only exception being DECEPTIVE missionizing, such as "messianic jewish organizations". very evil.
