There are a number of ways to work with explosives as a profession

First, go to school and take geology/mining engineering. This will let you work in mines.

Second, Join the millitary and become a demolitions expert, or mutinions expert.

Third (usually after doing one of the first two) Get a job for a civilian demolitions company doing building demolitions and blasting for road construction.

Keep in mind that none of these jobs will be open to you if you have a criminal record. Even something minor like being caught with a joint will keep you unemployed.

Depends on what type of bombs.

If it's a neuclear bomb, then you'll probably need physics or some engineering at least. (There's probably a lot, and I mean A LOT more, but I'm not exactly sure. Regardless of what the more is, it's most likely in science)

For other bombs, I'm not quite sure.

I'd think military or science. You'd definitely have to be military to blow stuff up, I'd think, but there are companies that make bombs too. A science major might get you in the door there, and it might be a bit safer.

You need to become a scientist (eg. chemist, physicist) or an Engineer (Chemical engineering, materials engineering) by going to university/college. Then you need to get a job with a defence contractor.
