I would use shades of plum,violet,baby olive(as in baby blue),shades of greens, off-white, and ecrus for my colors. In the 16x18 room I would use antique furniture,a tall four poster bed with a padded headboard a little taller than the posts.I would have oak wood floors, and a bedside rug with small florals in the same colors with accents of gold and browns and darker forest greens.I would use antique paintings and prints of scenery in mostly shades of greens(I have several of those) and mat them with the ecru,plums, and use wooden and gold frames where applicable.I would use a dark plum, wide ribbon bow and ribbons to hang the best one over the bed. I would place some of my grandkid and family pics in lovely and different styles frames around the room. I would place my 2 grandmother's,my mom's, and my jewelrey boxes on the dresser along with a flower basket. I would have my old family rocker/with an added footstool near a window with my childhood rocker beside it. I would put a decorative lamp on a small side table for a reading area.I would have both rockers softened with light chair pads of a country/victorian fabric and have throws of appropriate sizes on each chair.At the foot of the bed I would have my family hope chest filled with family quilts,crochet and embroidered linens and have a couple of my old and antique dolls adorning the top of the hope chest.On top of the wardrobe I would place Boston ferns and a larger one on a tall stand in the corner opposite the bed.I would have adouble door entry, into the bdrm, with the same colors and same type paintings. The adjoining bath would be decorated in the same style with a huge whirlpool tub and separate steam/sauna/shower with large seats for comfort. It would have a dressing area and at least a 12x14 walk-in closet.This bdrm suite would be functional and would feel soothing,warm, and inviting.

It would be real big, carpet for the most part....then over to the side, there would be a hug whirlpool tub that you would have to step up to, in an area with lots of windows.
There would be a hug water fountain on one wall, I would have gorgeous solid oak furniture, and a big king size waterbed (the new tube kind) in the middle of the room. It would have cool lights, that you can have bright, med or dim.
I would have a big masterbath near the end where the tub was. I would have a giant plasma tv that comes down from the ceiling, with surround sound, etc....and an awesome stereo system hooked into the ss.
The other end would have a book shelf with some nice comfy chaise lounges, pillows and throws. There would also be a mini built in fridge and microwave (for popcorn during movies!!) :)
..oh yeah, then there would be big french doors, that opened out to a private balcony overlooking the ocean.
(beach house).

First of all, I'd have high ceilings, and install great, big French windows.
I decide on a sleek, sexy, functional but Zen look, with cold cement floors. The walls would be scarlet red, with black on the feature wall.
On the feature wall, I'd hang a tapestry that's full of beautiful beads and colours.
I'd have wooden furniture, an Ottoman for my dressing table. It's be againts the wall and I'd have an old antiquey mirror propped up.
I'd have a loft bed and beneath it would be a pretty wooden dresser, but in white. And I'd have my Bang&Olufsen player somewhere ((;
It's not complete but it's what I've thought about ((;

If I could, I'd pay someone else to design it for me. I have the hardest time making a decision when it comes to designing rooms. I'd love to pass the headache to someone that enjoyed doing it.

I would have one big room, loft style. An inground pool in the middle of the room, with lots of plants around it. My kitchen would be completely modern , with a large grill area on open range. My bedroom with King size bed, large computer space and the largest plasma screen T.V. The most modern bathroom complete with spa and whirlpool. The walls would be black and furnishings of all leopard print ; browns ,black ,white and tan ,maybe some red in there somewhere. Oh I can see it now ,with me and my man in it.
