What about the other cat? Why would a 12 or 13 yr old cat have to be put down?

I think the suggestion of trying to find a relative or nearby family to take her is a good one.

You dad is being very insensitive about your feelings.

Hello what is the reason for your dad wanting to get rid of your cat?

Why is it that he wants to get rid of her? Is there anything you can do to address that with your dad? If it's cat hair on the furniture, offer to clean it and brush the cat. If it's cleaning the litter box, promise to keep it done.
I hope it works out for you - our kitties are like family.

Why does he want her gone? Are you the one taking care of her, cleaning her litter box, feeding her, etc.? Is she messing the house? I would expect your father has a good reason and you are only thinking about your needs!

Sit down and talk to your Dad. If you can't, then write him a note and tell him how you feel, but ask to sit down and talk with him.

Parents generally don't want to hurt their child but some times a parent must do something the kids don't agree with.

Talk to your dad...let him know how much the cat means to you, and that you will take care of her so he doesn't have to be bothered. If he insists on getting rid of your cat...see if a grandparent or other relative...or a trusted friend can take the cat for you so you can visit her/him. I wish you good luck...I'm attached to my pets too

My question to you is why does your dad want to git rid of her? Is she having behavioral problems, scratching up things, peeing or defecating around the house etc..or are you not being responsible enough in taking care of her.

Why is he gitting rid of the cat? If it is a behavior problem we can help with a solution.

If not I'd beg. Cry if it will help.

you need to sit down and discuss this with your dad and it will also help if you can get your mom to be on your side. Good Luck
