Illegitimus non carborundum.... translated: "Don't let the dirty beggars get you down!"
From now on, you're about to enter the greatest adventures of your life. Enjoy the moments. Treasure the fun. Do your best in your school work, but be happy with your results, never beat yourself because of it.
Oh, and it's quite possible that you could at some point in your adult life, miss being in school... it's okay. I do. Those were great years, in spite of an occasional crisis.
Oh, and as you move up these last school years, and are trying to decide what you want for a career, remember this: If you want to be happy at what you do, choose something that you enjoy doing now, and find a way to make a career out of it. If you enjoy writing, or reading history, or even gymnastics... focus on that, and you'll be happy.
Good luck!

Be prepaired. Buy your stuff now and not at the last minute.
Start setting a bed-time. Bed times are not for babies! They are proven to make you have a better nights sleep and be well rested in the morning. Start now so when you have to get up early in the morning, it wont be a big suprise.
Eat breakfast. You'll concentrate better on your work. Blueberries are a good brain food.
Lay out your bookbag, lunchbox etc. by the door so you wont forget anything.
Smile! Smile even if you dont feel like it. It can make you feel less nervous.
Listen to your brother, once your there its not all that bad. You'll catch on.
Good luck!

Oh honey, you'll be fine. I remember I was terrified to enter the seventh grade, but it wasn't that bad. Just be friendly and don't talk during class unless you're answering a question or asking one or doing a group assignment. Pay attention always and just do the best you can on your assignments. That is really all any teacher is expecting of you.
