More usually after. My wife has diabetes, which means we're both susceptible to yeast infections if we don't clean off after sex, especially when she's on her cycle. And I *hate* getting yeast infections.
So this morning, we both showered as soon as we got out of bed. What went on just before we got out of bed is left as an exercise to the reader.
But I *will* say it was really, really good. :-)

if the sex was REALLY good, then definetely the morning after, as i don't have the energy to shower right after sex....

you shower so you can smell good for whoever you are sleeping with and of course after because you will work up a sweat.
