The "four gospels" are the Bible books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. They're the first four books of the New Testament of the Bible. They tell about the life of Jesus from the points of view of four of Jesus's disciples. They mostly tell the same stories, but there are some instances when one disciple tells more than others or less than others.

The four gospels are the first 4 books, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, of The New Testament in The Holy bible. They are primarily about the life and times of Jesus Christ when He was on earth. They are the history of those times written from 4 different viewpoints. Matthew, Mark and Luke are similar. John is much different from those first three.
