You can't cook beef liver long enough to make it safe to eat. It is loaded with cholesterol and tastes like hell.

I love beef liver. Since I am iron deficient I cook it all the time. I start with bacon, a few strips of hickory smoked bacon in a frying pan. Cook the bacon until it is crispy and set aside. Leave the grease in the pan and cook several slices of fresh yellow or white onion. Cook the onion until it has a little bit of crispy brown on it, take the rings out of the frying pan and set them aside. Now place the strips of liver in the left over grease in the same frying pan. Salt and pepper to taste. Cook thoroughly-no red left inside the liver. You can test this by slicing into the liver to check. Serve with cooked bacon, onion and a little steak sauce. YUM!

1) It helps to cut the liver into small pieces before cooking, but isn't required. Obviously smaller pieces cook faster, than huge hunks of beef liver. 2) In my experience you BOIL the meat first, for 15-30 minutes. (It should look COOKED & totally taupe brown) by this point. 3) You then put it into a low heat over 200-250 & cook it 30 minutes. (It normally becomes rubbery, from this second cooking process & easier to use for training). NOTE: you need to use VERY small pieces. Too much liver at any time can cause diarrhea. Do NOT give your dog the left-over water from the boiling (see note above as to WHY.) You might consider cutting up all beef hot dogs into nickle-thick slices & micro-waving them. (2 such-sliced dogs, placed under & on top of multiple paper towels, to absorb the water & grease) for about 3 minutes. Please cook for LESS time, & see how fast your microwave cooks, before setting it for a full 3 minutes. These should be rubbery to slightly crisp (NOT BURNED) & will taste like bacon, much easier to put in your mouth, if you'd like the dog to watch your face - than LIVER (ppffttt!)

1 lb of beef liver (calf liver is best). Soak it in milk for about 3 hrs. (this helps with the bitter taste). Remove and discard milk. In a large skillet heat peanut oil. Coat liver with seasoned flour (add whatever seasoning you like). Fry in skillet until done, about 10 min. on each side. In a separate skillet, fry sweet onions & green peppers until golden brown. Serve hot...if you want gravy make it with your liver before it is done.

As for me...i prefer to have beef liver to be soft and tender with no blood or bloody smell....so you can cut liver into bit saiz...then put in hot oil for quick fry around 10 sec. then take out to drain the oil.....then in another pan or wok, put in garlic .....fry until fragrant...then put in the beef liver and stir it for a while ...put some soya sauce and pepper to taste, then at the end....you can put in dried chili, onion and capsicum andserver hot...
