I don't have a demon nor a demonic spirit but what does rise up now and then but with temperance is my carnal flesh that I pray to God to put under submission to God's Holy spirit and his Holy word.

What might be called your demon side is your shadow side and everyone has one. Your shadow side is made up predominantly of your fears and reactions to bad experiences in the past. You don't defeat it. Fighting your shadow only makes it go underground and pop up in most unpleasant ways...either in personality issues or illness. Facing your fears and things that have been painful in your past is the ONLY way to make peace with your shadow side. As each fear is acknowledged it grows weaker and less needy. As you heal past pain, it dissipates leaving you with more of yourself for daily life.

Its incredibly simple, you must die. Your demon lives of you, and you live of your demon. You can not win without defeating yourself. There are methods of halting the battle, but it is inevitable.

if u mean demon inside a person... somebody would need to cast the demon outside of you first and you can keep him from entering again by walking in the right path..

I am going to give 3 answers to this question! 2 serious answers and 1 not so serious
1] Jesus Christ, thru him all things are possible! He is only one that can cast out this demon, and protect you.
2} I am all ready saved, but the devil does try to get my attention-I use the fear factor--afaird I am going to get caught-afaird it's going to hurt someone-afaird that it's going to hurt me
3] by tuning him out like I did my parents when I was growing up
