It is somewhat unlikely. Although President Bush is quite unpopular, most incumbents in the House of Representative are expected to retain their seats.

They Republicans hold a six majority in the Senate. They stand a chance to pick up a couple seats, but in all likelyhood both houses of Congress will likely have Republican majorities after the election. Get out and VOTE!

I agree with David. I am so sick of the Republicans, that I really hope the Democrats can get congress back.

Of course they will have a better solution to the illegal immigration problem than the Republicans. The Republicans don't even have a solution yet. Heck, Republicans aren't even capable of THOUGHT. All they're good for is fighting wars. Which is a bad thing when the country is not at war, which it isn't right now.

Many have said that next year there will be more Democrats at the Congress due to the issue of Immigration. Immigrants that can vote, will vote for those who support a immigration reform :)

Democrats = less war, more peace.

Democrats will do the best thing for the country. I hope there is a democratic majority in '06/'08 and beyond. I know everyone is fed up with the cons running things. Cons are out of touch with the people and very much in touch with the companies/corporations that support them.

Vote for the good Democrats, won't you? I know I will be. We can do it.

I honestly don't know. Immigration is going to drive my vote, but in California, Feinstein, not Boxer is up this year. She voted for the Senate Bill but pushed for some corrections of it too. I'll vote against her, reluctantly, but don't expect Mountjoy to win, really.

Then I live near the studios, which practically own Berman, who is a House Rep who would be for the Senate Bill if only he were ever given a chance to be. I will vote against him with joy, because I consider him slimy, but he is so entrenched he is not expected to lose. On that one, I hope we will prove the polls wrong.

Those are incumbents, however. Where races are in doubt, and where no incumbent is running, I think immigration will be a big issue.

Only November will tell.

In the case of a democratic majority, it will help the immigration cause. Since most believe in human rights. I don't support democratic party, but in this case I do....

I am with "david". I am so sick with republicans I hope they win too. I voted republican to have a safer america...So bush would get tough on immigration and "secure our borders". The republicans are acting like democrats. It appears that most republicans support illegal. I would rather have a democrat that says she is for immigrants and votes the way she speaks, versus a A hole like bush and kay bailey hutchinson who say they are going to get tough, but turn down money for a 300 foot wall after they voted for the wall. Dems, independants, lulac, kkk....anyone but republicans. I am sick, sick, sick of their shi***t

I'd answer your question, but I'm still trying to figure out whose side the "anti illegal immigration supporters" would be on.
