I've heard the saying many times, but I'm not sure how true it is. It is one of those things that you can't really prove or disprove because there are just too many people in the world.

Yes! A scary thought! I have "a twin", and she lives in the same town. We even went to the same high school, and were often mistaken for the other. I hated it as I'm sure she did too. My husband has seen her around town since high school and says she looks different in a ROUGH sort of way.

Yes. My daughter had a 'twin' who went to a neighboring high school. We never found out who she was, but we used to see her now and then at the mall.

Several people said that to me, the girl even had a car exactly like mine. But when I saw her, I didn't think she looked like my twin.

When I was young,we went to a zoo. There was a girl there who looked exactly like my lil sis-same
clothes,shoes,hair,face,eyes,
and hair clips! (extremely freaky) Well,my lil bro followed her out of the zoo cause he though she was my sister! The only difference between the two was the voice I think. We ended up picking my lil bro up at the lost and found.

i think that phrase came from a German word, its Doppelganger which means someone who copies persons. This is kinda fictional i think. Doppelganger are unearthly creatures that are thought to copy a certain person physically it is also said that if you ever saw a person who looks like you, you're going to die on that year. (shrug).
