we were going out great, and we loved each other, but one day we met at a date, and he told me he needed time alone, so he could finish school, and fix some personal family problems. He asked me if I would wait for him, and told me that it wasn't like we were over, that we weren't over, that he still loved me so much, but that if i would just wait for him, because he needed his time alone to fix those personal problems. But im confused as to if we're together or not, first he tells me he needs time alone, then specifies that we're not over...which is it? of course i didn't ask but I need to know, and i don't know what to do, i'm still so in love with him. We hardly talk, he's always so busy with work til' late, and sometimes he's just too busy or asleep from being so tired.

Get some other friends and explore your options. If he is away at college he may be influenced by friends or the thousands of girls there. Whatever the case try to stay in touch by phone, email, or text. If you stay friends without relying on you two getting back together you should be fine. Sometimes you may lose a love and gain a friend. But if it's meant to be things will work out sooner or later.

I agree with Frampt, if a guy cant get his personal life in shape when is he ever going to do it, and besides that seems like hes not being truthful with you~~~always avoid guys who lie because they arent worth your time~~~~they are selfish~~think about yourself first~~goodluck

Ever hear of have your cake and eat it too!! He wants his freedom but he doesn't want to let you go. He wants to see other girls, but doesn't want you to see other guys. It is going to hurt terribly but you need to move on while he has his time alone. He needs to see what it is like without you not have you as a backup!

Wait if you want to, and really if he is busy then he didn't lie to you about resolving his issues. It might work out or not, it is all up to you
