An aspirin will help. If the pain is severe you could put an ice pack on your arm. It is best not to overdo it when lifting weights. Wait a few days before you do it again.

Rest it tomorrow and try again the next day, without overdoing it that time.
A little soreness is good, it means you did enough to build the muscle.
Soreness to the level of "pain" means you did a bit too much, and you need to let it recover. Remember how much you did, and next time do a bit less... then go up a little from there each time.

Take some ibuprofen and ice it for 45 min. Also stretch it periodically and always stretch before lifting.

Where does your arm hurt? Is it your elbow? Your shoulder? Is it a joint? Is it your triceps or biceps? If it's a joint, or a muscle, you'll have to rest them for several days. Heat is good and so is ibuprofen for swelling. Use a heating pad or a hot tub for heat.

If it's a bad sharp pain you might have hurt yourself, but if it's just soreness then you know that your muscles are getting bigger.

Good luck with the muscles. Show them ladies!

that depends on how badly its hurt, usually a couple days of rest would fix you up, but if pulled a muscle, or worse torned a musle, then you need to go see a doctor...
