I have a friend who is a rage aholic to the point where he doesnt rememebr what he does......he does the same thing over and over, hes abusive to his girlfriend...........is this a mental disoder, or is he just emotional????

Excessive rage is most definitely a mental disorder. It goes way beyond emotion. He needs therapy, but good luck getting him to accept that. My wife has it, but she refuses to accept it, even with visual proof of her outrageous fits.

Emotionals disorders are classed as a type of mental disorder. Your friend sounds like he has a real problem, and if he does, his gf needs help, too.

He probably has some sort of mental and emotional problems that need to be evaluated by a psychiatrist, psychologist, or therapist.

he's way past emotional. people who are drunk all the time needs professional help. And if they have a a mental illness which werent diagnose yet, he'll get worst if keeps drinking.

he needs psychotherapy. i'm sure they'd recommend medications as well though the psychotherapy is imperative because he really needs to change his behavioral responses. the answer is YES. your friend has an anger disorder.
