AKC standards say 7 months old before you can register a litter born to a Sire. Good Luck

You should not be breeding him. If you don't know how to spell the breed name and how old he should be, then you are obviously not a professional or experienced breeder. You are obviously not well versed in the breed. 2-5 million animals are killed in shelters each year because irresponsible breeders are breeding their dogs. Don't contribute to that. If you want a puppy, go buy one. Don't create 7 more.

I'm going to link to what makes a responsible and ethical breeder. If you don't meet each and every one of those requirements, then you should not be breeding your dog. Get him fixed. It's much healthier for him.

Even if you don't agree with my personal approach, read the AKC, the Dachshund site, and the chihuahua links. The AKC is the most reputable breed club in the US - us their words as guidance. Seriously, if you don't meet their guidelines, don't breed.

I'm not familar with the individual breed but generally a dog is concidered an adult at the age of 2. So I'd say 2 years old is when they can breed.
