let's just put it this way: I want to be with my family and friends after I die. According to fundie Christians and the Bible. my family and friends don't walk the "true" path of Christ. ... so, that leaves me to believe they're going to hell. So, I'll be wanting to be there with them.

If you live a decent life and treat others the way you would hope to be treated then you will live a long and prosperous life and reap the rewards of such a rewarding life. Assuming there is an afterlife or heaven, I would think that anyone fitting this criteria would have been a good enough person to warrant the gifts of heaven.

Of course I am. I am a decent honest Christian unlike many of these other folks on Yahoo, who are just sinners who are looking for a quick ticket to God and heaven. God and I have been together for 72 years now, side by side. I have never lied. I have never stolen. I have never lusted. I have never blasphemed the holy ghost. I have always paid my 10 percent tithing unlike some others in my church. So, I am entitled to go to heaven when I die.

How can anyone be sure of anything? Life is a mystery, and all we can do is hope that there is a better place than this, and that when we die we are sorry for our sins, and that our soul will go to heaven..

Honestly, if I were to die tonight I don't know what will happen to my soul. The frame of mind I am in, even though I say I am a Christian, I might not make it. One thing I know, I am working on it, praying on it and asking my God for forgiveness and enlightenment every day. I know that we are all sinners and that we should repent and ask for His forgiveness. By doing so, we will have that to rely on to get into Heaven. I believe in God and His son Jesus and for me that is a great starting point.

Nobody is certain about this. We will wait until judgement day when the Lord will decide who will go to heaven or not. Religion cannot save a man, it's the man himself, on how he live his life on earth.

Nope...Salvation is an ongoing thing, we could be like seeds in the parabel of the seed sower. If we stop growing, and get tangled up in the world, we will die and get thrown into the fire. We could lose sight of our first love and become lukewarm and Jesus will then spit us from His mouth. So I believe we should never take salvation lightly, as Paul says-- Phil 2:12-13 12Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, 13for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.

I am pretty sure that I am not going to heaven.
If after I am buried, I somehow I end up in the air with wings and a halo saying "howdy" to St. Peter at a couple of pearly (whatever that means) gates, I think I would crap my gown.

Haven't you ever read I John 5:13?
"These things I have written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that you have eternal life..."
Any other questions?
