Well I can relate to that. I have anxiety problems and when I get sick it makes it worse. I don't know why. You need to see your doctor if the flu bug doesn't go away and you need to take something for your panic attacks. The doctor should give you something for your panic attacks. Expect it to take a little while to get completely over it. When that happens to me it takes a few days to get back to normal. Good luck!

Well if you dont have prescription meds for the panic attacks,Take some PM's or a cold medication for night time. For the anxiety other than that, pay attention of your breathing.make sure your stomack raises when you breath and not your chest.Take deep slow intakes watching your stomack expand and not your chest.Go slow. OK this is called Bio-feedback-As you do this slow breathing tighten up your toes for 10 seconds then release, move up to your calf area and tighten your calf muscles and toes at the same time for 10 seconds.Do this and keep moving up your body adding more of your body.Dont forget to watch the breathing. You will start feeling more relaxed. If you focus on this you will stop having anxiety because you are also concentrating on something other than whats giving you anxiety.

I have read some litterature about panic attacks. But they allways seem to have a more scientific approach and that is nothing I need in my struggle to survive those horrible panic attacks. This is a "hand on" and very practical book. I felt it was written to me. I am sure that you are going to feel the same.
Joe Barry writes exactly how I think. The examples are perfectly described. And the method is genius. I recommend this book and thanks Joe Barry for writing it. It changes your life

Been there done that myself. It sucks. Main thing is to realize that even though they are seperate illnesses, they can potentiate each other. (Like oxygen and gas mixtures make a more intense fire). What has worked for me is to stay on my main meds for GI problems and panic attacks. I have PRN medications that I take when this happens and it helps. Talk to your doctor about both symptoms and it wouldn't hurt to see a gastrointesinal specialist as well as a psychiatrist. Watch some of your OTC meds too as they can aggrivate your symptoms.

That stomach illness may be related to your panic attacks... You should really see your doctor. I can tell you first-hand that stress or anxiety can effect your physical health.
