You need to call the airlines directly. Many airlines sell extremely cheap, if not free tickets to people who lose an immediate family member. I'm sure sorry about your bro.

I always recommend southwest airlines when flying domestically.
They have unimaginably chaep flights.
I try not to fly large airlines, such as american airlines or united, since they make many stops and are very expensive when flying domestically.

Try www.travelnow.com. They tell you the cheapest flight, what ariline it is on, even what planes you will fly on. Plus, it is guaranteed the cheapest. If you need a hotel and a rental car try www.travelocity.com. My condolences.
