Why do we have people on this forum who simply posted 'rubbish' for an answer. that's not exactly enlightening is it?
Okay so why does a country possess Nuclear, chemical and biological weapons and landmines if it has no intention of using them.
Lets hope the whole situation does not escalate to a situation where it will be used.
I know for sure that all the world military powers including Israel have them and are actively against emerging nations like Iran and north Korea from stockpilling them. What hypocrisy.

Israel use White Phosphorus Bombs and also Napalm, Which is now banned by the Geneva Convention.

The Americans get round this using Napalm but now calling it BLU 51 fire bomb.

Both chemical weapons are used by Israel.

Notwithstanding the use of chemical weapons is contrary to international law, I would not put it past the Israelis to use chemical weapons either against the Lebanese or the Palastinians.

It does not make sense. Israel has support of USA (it appears) and if Israel were caught using chemical warfare, they would be in violation of the United Nation agreements, thus losing all support.

It depends what sort of chemical weapons you refer too, In short many weapons rely on horrible chemicals that burn straight through anything such as white and red phos.

Also there are gasses used to clear buildings etc.
