Where my elder sister and her husband live, every household has received a questionaire from the council. "Personal safety. How do you feel on a bus or on the street and at home. A. All right. B. Unsafe. C. Petrified. She's thought about it and now they want to come and stay with us.

good question, i think the perception of crime is much higher then the actual crime statistics. the media, etc., fuels this...big time.

Helping i suppose because if they feel that the neighbourhood feel unsafe or petrified then they may get cops to patrol the area, HOwever as it is the council asking and they are all useless they prob just want to know if its suitable to bring illegal immigrants in to live there. Staying with you isn't really going to do them any good, is there yobs hanging on street corners? have they had any trouble? Think about it
