Its not really a swear-word. Not only is it a name, it's a body part and it's sometimes used in a vulgur term..if you are thinking that it is okay to go around and say it don't because it is offensive. There are swear words, and then there are words that are used in an awful manner which should be considered as swear words.

As everyone else already said "it depends on the context." I would also say that most people only use that word when swearing. I know I do.

Hmmm, interesting point...I guess it depends on your tone of voice and the context used.
Saying the sentence "Hi Dick!" can take on two different meanings....especially when one of them literally translates to "Hello Richard!"
