All that I know about are current clinical trials where they are using stem cells to help cessation of smoking. You might want to read on that. Ask your Doctor and He could tell you if there is help like this available. good luck

I don't smoke any more, but I didn't get a shot to do it. I would recommend tapering off, and then keep putting off having another one. If you get sick with a chest cold, that would be a good time not to smoke any more either since it will be easier to get past some of the first 5 days that way.
Oh yea, it will be much easier if you have a pack of smokes with you so you can have a smoke if you decide to. When you want a smoke, just put it off until later. Keep doing that. But remember the habit will still be there after the physical withdrawals have finished (which takes about 3 to 5 days). That is when you have to not get a smoke, you know, like after eating, after sex, when something stressful happens, etc. Oh yea, brush your teeth often. The fresh mouth is a reinforcement for not smoking another nasty cigarette. Also take walks, or do something athletic. This brings up hormones in the body that take away the desire to smoke, and also lessen withdrawal symptoms.
I never really quit, I just never had another one, and that was several years ago. Good luck to you.
Oh yea, I did read about a shot they invented to stop smoking at www.wnd.com. Maybe you can find out more about it there. I believe they have a search engine that can help you find the article.
