If you start the application now you should be able to make that date. I think the also have a 'fast' option, that costs more.

If you need a visa to go to the other country, I suggest you take the "rush" option. Otherwise, most passports get returned in a few weeks. Visas can take a while, but getting the passport doesn't take that long.
In any case, DO IT NOW!!!

If you are a US citizen it takes 6 weeks regular.. you can get it in 3 days if you go to the passport office and have it expedited. You won't need that if you act now. Have fun travelling!!

You can get one and it takes 4-6 weeks. You can go route 2 and get it expedited in a like 10 days. Or route 3 and go to the U.S. Embassy and get one on the spot. As you go up the chain of command, the price goes up. You should be fine if you go route 1.

the speed of it depends on a few options:
-Go to the passport office in person - usally takes about 10 days
-Mail the passport forms in, usally takes about a month
-pay extra to get your passport in x amount of days (usally 2, 5 or a week)

No problem, but go to the post office tomorrow and get the paperwork. Might want to bring your birth certificate with you so they can tell you if it's acceptable or if you need a certified one.
