Yeah, on a free layover b/t Sydney and LA; stayed for about 5 days. We landed in Nadi, and quickly moved on to the Coral Coast south of there on the main island. Several resorts down there and it is nice, but don't spend too much time there. No waves, unless you go out beyond the reef, where the surfing can be great. Also on the main island is the capital city of Suva, but I would stay away from there due to safety reasons, although it's probably not that bad. Go to some of the other smaller islands. I went by short ferry trip to Mana island, leaving from Nadi, or near there. Stayed at a hostel there, but also a nice resort. You can walk around the entire perimeter of the island in about 2 hrs and there are some big hills w/ great views. Sunset Beach is a must.

Yep. It was a wonderful holiday. The people are friendly, and very obliging. There is a Blue Lagoon cruise that lasts for three days, and takes you into the outlying areas of Fiji, and treats you to a traditional dinner, cooked Fijian style. I'd weigh 300 pounds if I lived there. The food is delicious!
