Haven't you read any books or anything? There are some very good ones available. It will probably happen in the middle of the night and I wouldn't count on taking her to a vet.
Have you built a whelping box with pig rails? Are you tracking her temp?

take her temp. when it is 98 to99 degrees you will have puppies with in 24 hours. don't panic. when the time comes you will be just fine most likely momma will do all the work. if you need to help . what you will be watching that the pup gets out mom should break the sack that the pup is in if she doesn't you will have to do it the membrane surrounding the pup is kind of though so it will take some real pulling . it will be attached to the puppy at the umbilical cord you will have to cut it leave it about 2 inches long when you cut it you can tie it or clamp it a stapler should work to get the puppy moving get a clean hand towel and start rubbing what you want to do is make this little guy mad. the puppies will come 1 every 20 minutes or so if she has not had one for 1 hour so so get her to the vet asap. keep the phone number to your vet close at hand if you need more help call them. they will get a tech on the phone to walk you through it. you my call them ahead of time so they can be ready to help you. you might take momma in just so they can look her over. good luck

Put your whelping box in a quiet room. Have it lined with lots of newspapers on the bottom and and old blanket/quilt on top. Have towels and sharp scissors. Show the box to your dog a few times so she knows where it is. She'll know when it's time to go in there - she'll get restless, pant and go in her box when she's in labour. Go in with her.
It's much safer for the puppies not to let the mother tear the umbilical cord with her teeth - it's easy for the puppy to get an umbilical hernia. After the puppy is born, if she's comfortable with your help, tear open the sack, without taking the puppy away from her, clear its mouth, let her clean it and while she's doing that, you hold the cord in one hand, kind of pinch it a bit and go back towards the puppy. What you're doing is getting as much blood as possible back into the puppy's body. I forgot to mention that you need thread. What you do next is cut the cord, if you've pinched it enough, there will be very minimal bleeding. Then using the thread, tie the cord off and cut the thread. The cord will dry up and fall of in several days. You don't need to worry about it. If the mother lets you, you could help her dry the puppy with a towel, but don't pick it up and move it from her - she'll freak.
Then let her relax and nurse and lick this puppy till the next one comes. It's really not hard, it's a truly wonderful experience helping puppies come into the world.
Best of luck to you and your dog.

First off, have a vets emergency number on stand by in case you need to call.
Than setup a nursery for the mother and the soon to be pups. Somewhere where it is quiet and less stressful on the mother. Large box on its side with blankets or other form of box where she can hide in and feel at ease.
Keep a fresh water bowl near so she can keep well hydrated.

just leave her alone all animal know what to do when it is time to give birth. if she needs help all you have to do is rub her tummy to make it easier for her. it can take dogs from as little as 3-4 hours to 2 days to have thier pups. but be aware do not touch her pups unless she lets you. dont worry so much

"Madam death", eh? Are you goth? Anyway, call a vet, and tell them the circumstances. They may just walk you through any problems, or, if they're severe probs, take the dog to any vet, even one you don't know. If the dog's in trouble, it won't matter, weather they know you or not.

Plan A. make a nest or bedding that would include lots of news papers ripped up and a cushion or pillow and sheets & towls available,as well...put your pup inthat area and try and block her
in or block off that area just for her to have pup in...
