First, how wonderful for you! I was married a year ago... my anniversry is in two weeks. Use whatever colors you like! Don't let anyone tell you what you should have. Follow your heart and things will be great. Our ceremony was outside, in the evening. A hot, sultry Southern night. Lot's of candles and fairy lights. The guys wore tuxedos, I did the full white wedding thing with the long train and long veil. My Bride's Maids all wore long, organza ball skirts with a cute tank top style top with beading around the front of the neck and they had an envelope back with a couple of buttons for a closure. The color? Navy blue. Yep, in August! I like navy blue. The ladies were beautiful and they were as happy as I was. They definately can wear their outfits again and two of them have.
If you're really stuck with a color choice, look at the David's Bridal or Alfred Angelo website.
Good Luck!

Summer usually calls for softer colors and brighter tones. I would try colors like lilac, peach, plum, soft blue and gentle browns. White always works well in a outdoor wedding. I would stick with maybe up to three colors. You want to keep it as a motif and not over done.

If you have more questions concerning planning your wedding , you should check out ivillage for some great color suggestions like this:

Every color has its own feel, so choosing the right one is an important part of setting the tone for any event, especially a wedding. If you're still stumped for the perfect shades to use on your big day, browse this list of iVillager ideas.

A friend of mine got married a few weeks ago and her wedding was a dark periwinkle with coral accents. Depending on your skin tone (or that of your bridesmaids) coral can look good with a tan. Maybe choose a flower you like. My cousin (getting married in September) is a big fan of the hydrangea, and based her color- light purple- on it. Her maid of honor is wearing a pewter color.
My best friend who got married several years ago had an array of colors. The girls wore periwinkle, violet, and yellow.
But as others have said, you need to pick what YOU like, colors you won't mind seeing over and over in all the pictures.
You may want to go to google images and look up weddings, I'm sure thousands of people have posted wedding pictures, from there you'll be able to see how certain colors look together and maybe something will catch your eye ???
Good Luck.

Congrats on your engagement!

What are the color of your favorite flowers? Try choosing based on that -- it will make your life a LOT easier next summer when you're trying to match your bouquets to the bridesmaid dresses! If you like summer colors, go for a nice, deep coral and maybe a red -- like the colors in calla lilies! Good luck!

Revlon Colourstay Lipstick in 'It woman' is a really tremendous Spring/summer season lip decision. a fabulous peachy/coral colour which will upload a pop of colour to any make-up look! i want to save the interest make-up easy (making use of only mascara, eyeliner and a cream eyeshadow) and a good shiny lipstick!
