Hello Frnd,
I don't know who are you. But I'm helping you with my simple theory coz I know that smoking is injurious to health.
I was also a smoker. But now I quitted. I just tried this simple way. I quit smoking one day in a week at first. Second week I quit smoking for 2 days. In the third week I quit smoking for 3 days. In the 4th week I quit smoking for 4 days. Like this I stopped my smoking completely. It is very difficult to stop smoking in a single day. So you tell about my paln to your boy frnd. Hope he can also stop smoking in his life. Other wise ask him to chew some bubble gum or some toffees when ever he feels that he want to smoke. But there is also a problem too. The sugar level in the body will increase if he is a chain smoker. I hope u understood wht I told.
Ok frnd, Ask ur boy friend to try this simple way.
Hope he will quit smoking.

He won't stop unless he feels that he should. The only thing that you can do right now is let him see the downside to smoking weed and why there really is a need to quit. Right now obviously he doesn't see it as a problem but show him how it is and maybe he'll consider quitting.

For one thing,count how many reliable friends He has and where does he see Himself in 10 years from now and will He be able to have career!.

tell him/her that smoking weed isn't healthy, and if he/she keeps on doing it then you won't be best friend with him/her.

Just be supportive. Dont push him or that will piss him off. Just let him know where you stand. Hopefully he will make the right choice.
