Unfortunately most of the time they dont realise they have bad smell unless told by somebody. So make sure u tell them when u smell one.
Brushing , Flossing and brushing your tongue can reduce it.
Still smelling ...... you need professional cleaning of your teeth and gums.

I think people can know whether they have bad breath, by the odour of their mouth. Suppose, I know in the morning before brushing my teeth so I don't speak with anybody and just go the bathroom. In the middle of the day, if I have coffee or something, I feel there is some kind of smell in my mouth and I just go for mouth-wash. I am normal without any bad smell or dental probs, but I can detect my mouth freshness.
I think this is the normal thing in every person. What I want to say is unless they have gum problems, they can know whether they have bad smell or not, all by themselves. In that case, please do not punish others.

Unfortunately it's only others who can smell it. Have you ever heard of halitosis it's little deposits of bacteria that accumulate in the back of your throat and tonsils, and makes your breath stink really bad there are products out there to help you deal with the issue. I hope you can find a solution to your problem because i know how bad one can feel

They can smell it as well. But , they are getting acquianted with it (other say, immune from smell), so it becomes not noticable for them and those persons infront of them while talking, they are the one who can easily get it. Advise, make sure you brush your teeth after meals and gargle with anticeptic solutions that controls the growth of mouth bacteria which causes bad breath.

Only if another smell comes in, then it goes away...you can't smell something after a few seconds if it's still there, you learn to disregard them....if they're used to it, chances are...no...if it's a friend...ask them to smell something and they might notice it afterwards...

If its really bad, they will be able to smell it themselves. But its usually other people who can smell it more.

Most of the time when their breath is that bad, it's embedded in their system and becomes a part of their everyday chemistry that they are accustomed to.
