i live in nc, and you would require ASCP certification here. in florida, i believe you have to be licensed (ie take the licensure exam) as well as being ASCP certified. in some western states, NCA certification is used instead of ASCP.

From what I understand is that FL. has is own state specific testing in addition to the normal ones ASCP or NCA that most other states accept. You can check with ASCP.org for possible answers
