It's called imaginative play. There are really no boundries with that type of toy. She can develop all kinds of stories around it. Encourage it, creative thinkers make good prblem solvers. It's not "normal" per se, but do you want a kid who can't come up with great ideas? She won't grow up to be boring.

She's a smart little girl, that is why she is like that? Are you okay with that? Be happy she is so bright! Can you get her into preschool? She's a sweety pie, making provisions for her friends. Play is how children learn in the first 7 years of life. Look around for things to enhance the "home" she has created for her little loved ones. My daughter used to do that. EVERYONE had a spouse! No one was left alone, and I was a single mom for a long time. Kids are just blessed, imaginative and expressive.

Shes doing this at 4 years old? You have a smart child there. At 4 years old, well i dont remember what i was doing, but the closes i came to making something was a mud pie. And not the right way...i would just dig a hole and put dirt and mud in it. Mix it around..ta da.

She is expressing herself. She likes working. She is making a life for her friend. Let her do it. With mad skillz like that she could be like a designer...or make stuff. Model stuff. Woo.

Future president. You never know when it comes to children. Let her go and play.

It sounds like you have a very creative little girl there. Encourage this creativity! But it sounds like she might be lonely. Who else does she have to play with? If she doesn't have any siblings or none near her age, try to find local playgroups for children around her age or start one of your own. If she's in a daycare, make sure that she's got kids around her age to play with. She can share her wonderful imaginary world with her friends then, too.

Sounds like she is lonely and has a good imagination. Maybe you could try taking her and her friends out to the park or stay home and play cards with them and she will see that she can get attention without resorting to her friends.

She is being a 4 year old, let her do it. It's not hurting you maybe it's her comfort zone and she feels that her pretend friend will always be there and they understand her. Maybe you are too busy on the computer and not playing with her or reading to her and this is why she has to make up friends..

Yes she is just playing. That is how children learn it sounds like she is doing a bit of role playing, your her mom you do all those things for her you make sure there is sheets on her bed and make she has everything she needs. She is playing mom to her animals. It's normal and healthy.

She has a wonderful imagination. She could be a gifted child. I hope you will encourage her by buying books and reading to her. Teach her the alphabet and her colors. She's very bright.
