I learnt what it actually means when I found out about it on the internet when I was about 15. I was shocked to see that some cultures (including most Americans) abuse and mutilate their boys like this.

when I was pretty much just born. Ouch. No wonder people can have such cynical views of the human race. You can hardly blame them when they got part of their **** chopped off a couple days into their life.
