It seems like every Christian or Church I've come across who's fellowship has done the Rick Warren book(s) has fallen into church splits & a type of New Age contemplative, watered down Social Gospel.

I am a Christian and I've taken "The Purpose Driven Life" and I did not backslide of go to any other church either or anything like that of what you have said. I'm still a spirit filled Christian. so everything that you have said is not true. Rick Warren's book is really good all's it shows is that we were put on this earth to do Gods will and to spread the Good news of God and other stuff too...

My church wouldn't touch it. We think we should do studies about the Bible, not about books written by men. I've heard that it is VERY watered down and just wants to make everybody happy. That's not what Christianity is all about.

Yes (we did "Life" not "Church"). It was quite watered down, but it seemed to be one of those things where it is what you make it. We had no divisions or splits afterwards.
