Mostly it has to do with the differences in the thought patterns between men and women. Male thought patterns pass from the logic side of their brains to the emotional side, females run the opposite. This is why they mature faster than males. Logic is simply the processing of numerically based data, but emotion is much more complicated. Not using it much means we take six years long to mature. Males are not fully ready for making the same type of emotional attachment until nearly age 30.

What women should remember is that they are not fully mature until age 24. They should wait until then to even consider dating men, over the age of 30. Take the time until then to establish yourself in whatever career best suits you, whether that is working in an office, being a blue collar worker, or being a full-time housewife and mother.

There was a quote - by Terry Pratchet in Monstrous Regiment - it went along the lines of a women is not a thinking creature, but is an immitating creature - they find an idea or a thing they like, and agree with it. Men, on the other hand, are stubborn and dumb: they arn't thinking creatures either, but they are finding creatures. They find an answer and they like it and agree with it.

Thus, a woman goes through life being happy when her husband is happy, and thinking and agreeing with whatever stupidity he does. Mostly because it's easier than trudging through the hardships of life - and that lets her be a woman: she pays attention to details, takes care of immature and stubborn men (when they're hurt or in need), and loves on kids, animals and plants.

How does this relate to your question?

A man sees someone that will take care of the needs that only a sister/female friend/mother/love can take care of. A woman sees someone they are going to be following and depending on for everything in life. Thus, it's easier for them to become attached faster - since the guy mostly only notices how she touches him, handles him; while she notices everything about him.

I am male. And I get more emotionally attached than my wife does. You can't really make a statment like that. The reality is, it's all in the upbringing. And it's also in culture. Women are more APT to be Emotionally attached than men are; like I said, it's more society.

From childhood, we're taught that showing emotion is equated with showing weakness. Although society has come a long way, it's still a patriarchal society where men dominate. So women are taught that it's okay for them to be in touch with their emotions. Men are taught early to "suck it up and be a man." But men are emotional, sometimes more than women. Men are just taught to hide it better. Sometimes seeing women merely as sexual objects helps them to protect themselves from giving into love with a woman. Women aren't taught to do this. Yet when a harsh emotion is bestowed on us, women handle it better. A woman finds out she was merely a one-night stand, and eventually, she moves on. A guy finds out he was only a one-night stand (even if that's all he wanted in the first place) and the woman doesn't care, most men don't take this well. Men want to stay in power and women have been taught to give it to them. This is why I'm just peachy single and don't have one-night stands. No one has power in my relationships but me. It's not easy, but it's what works for me.

We're dependent even if we say we're not. Plus we are the ones that always dream of having a perfect marriage and husband to show off. This all started since we we're able to play house. Guys grow up dreaming about beating someone up and having a nice car or truck. Do you ever hear a little boy say I need a nice truck to carry my girlfriend in? No

I do- and I'm not really sure. Women just want someone to love them and be happy with them. That is a top priority. Men don't like to be sappy so maybe they are attached and they just hide it. good luck with everything.

Generally speaking,
Women are more social and emotional. They think in terms of relationships. Men tend to be more private and try to not show that they've fallen for you.

Because they ARE emotional. Men tend to be analytical. That's why women give sex to get love and men give love to get sex. It's all in the perspective (that's why sexual relationships without commitment will always fail).

They don't. Men become emotionally attached as fast as a woman if the woman is the right one for them.
