I agree completely. All the hatred and humans-killing-humans in the names of their respective Gods must end, for we are killing our Mother Earth in the process, without even a moment's thought. I think that religion is really just a facade for the Leaders to start the fighting again. But at the Warrior's level, they are inspired and driven through their religious beliefs, and so religion is being used as a tool. You would think we would have learned by now, since a whole country suffered to teach all of humanity this lesson. Obviously I am reffering to Hitler's Germany, and how the youth had been brainwashed to hate and kill the Jews. (You know you have a problem when 8 year old Nazi kids stone little Jewish kids to death, on the way home from school.) There was already hatred for the Jews and Hitler capitalized on it. Sold it to the people as "what is right for the future of Nazi Germany, and it's people...." Bunch of Bull shite, but the religious determination of the people led the movement that slaughtered most of the Jews in Germany. That's called 'propaganda.' Why we as a nation cannot see it for what it is, I don't know. I think it is a travesty.
*Pray for peace, for all the peoples of this world*
I forgot to include my own religious beliefs. I am Wiccan, so I kinda see this from all sides, being apart from all the fervor. An unbiased opinion from a person who only wishes to see beauty and love in this world... I am sad, and heavy hearted to see so many blind people being shepherded by evil men.
May I? My favorite movie quote. Pulp Fiction, Samuel L. Jackson as Jules... I know this isn't how Ezekiel 25.17 goes, but it "sort of fits the occasion."
"The path of the Righteous Man is beset on all sides, by the inequity of the Selfish, and the tyranny of Evil Men. Blessed is he, who in the name of Charity and Good Will, shepherds the Weak through the Valley of Darkness, for he is truly his Brother's keeper, and the finder of Lost Children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance, and furious anger, those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my Name is the Lord, when I lay my vengeance upon thee."
The Wicked will have their vengeance, and will not be able to hide from Karma's balance. I put my faith in that. That no misdeed goes without notation, and an equal, if not three-fold, effect. Those who are the Evil men, that shepherd the Weak to pick up weapons against those who believe differently, just to gain their evil ends, will be punished. God,dess will see to it.
Blessed Be.

You are making very valid points. Thank you.
Sadly, Christians will not listen, because they have their heads in the sand, expecting Jesus to intervene and whisk them away to safety with their "any day now" rapture idea. This, after they have helped to make such a mess in the world by voting for a Christian President who invaded Iraq and who is doing nothing to stop war -- in any area of the world -- and in the name of God!
Check out the attached news article about how Christians (Republicans) now want to convert Muslims.
Good luck. Get ready for another 9/11! And if Christians think it will not happen or that it will not affect them, realize this: all of the prayer in the world to Jesus did NOTHING to prevent the first 9/11.

I did not recognise that the Bible belt protected the whole international. Since there are earthquakes all over the world, Hurricanes, typhoons and cyclones that quilt each Atlantic and Pacific as good as volcanoes, tsunami's, and so on... which are no in which close the Bible Belt, then I bet so much traditional failures don't arise within the Bible Belt. If you think global warming is a bigger threat to man that Islam you are a nut-job. A vast majority of scientist agree there is no evidence to support warming. As far as Islam is concerned-do a study of the news for the last 60 years.

Go ask the muslims this question.
It has nothing to do with all religions especially my religion of hinduism.
We have not killed people or raped countries or converted millions or used money or treachery to divert people's minds.
Ask christians and muslims and all the other religions.
But do not accuse us of being fixated in religion to cause war.
Islam has raped our country and our women and we are asked to tolerate these inhuman a............. you put whatever word you want in there.
Christianity has stolen and destroyed our home to build theirs.
Sikhism is still in control. Judaism is contained now.
So please do not generalise and do not accuse us of being part of your conspiracies in the world for power and control.
That is abuse.
I am not so sure you are allowed to be what you want in USA.

I believe that people start wars in the name of their religion to make their own religion feel more real or powerful. Perhaps by wiping out other religions, this makes their religion more “correct,” or it scares people into being in their group. (More membership means more money!)
Yes, there are bigger problems. I don’t care what religions other people choose to follow as long as they are respectful of others and have compassion for follow humans. We need to ensure the world will exist tomorrow by being nice to each other and the environment.

I think it's overfixation. What is religion really for if not to teach us how to live with one another in peace? I'm Christian, by the way, and I just don't believe I have to fight other people to become Christians in order for me to go to heaven. Yes, I do agree.

Well religion is a very complicated thing for the fact that everybody things that everybody elses religion is wrong and that theirs is right. Many religions have been fighting for centuries. Nothing is going to change that.

Most assuredly, except with your idea that you are free to be/think what you want...you're a victim of propaganda too you know...I can think of lots of examples where your country has NOT allowed its people to choose for themselves. As far as the rest of it, yes, you would think by now that humanity would have learned, but it appears that the PEOPLE learn, but POLITICIANS AND GOVERNMENTS do not. NO bombs, no nukes, PEACE MAN!
