People always say spaying or neutering your cat changes their personality. This is so not true. What changes their personality is getting older not being fixed. Many spay at 6 months then complain at 8 or 9 months that it made their cat sleep all the time. Adult cats sleep a lot and are not as playfull as kittens , even if they hadn't been fixed this change would have occured. No your cat wont become a spazz , mean or any other negative thing. If she is a sweet heart now she will be later but she will be less active as she gets older and that is natural.

LOL, noooo. That myth was created by people who think it's "cruel" to have an animal fixed. Would you rather have a bunch of kitties running around that you have to find homes for when there are already tons of them in animal shelters waiting for new homes? Both our cats are still sweeties, one is male and the other is female. I think they're original personalities always stay with them, fixed or not.

The only thing that will change is the fact that your cat will be much healthier and live longer! If a female is not spayed they can have problems such as uterene and breast cancer or pyometira (an illness that can end up in death). Only good can come from having ANY animal spayed or neutered.

She is probably a young cat and her personality is changing anyway. She won't act like a kitten because she is growing up.
She will still be a sweetheart. She will have a longer and healthier life when she is spayed. That's the important thing.

I've had different experiences. I had a female cat that went nuts after spaying. My gray and white male is the sweetiest kitty, even after been fixed, no changes.

Having your cat spayed, will make her more even tempered, and the older she gets the more weight she will gain (if you let her),and she may get a little lazier, but all in all she'll be the same cat ..Only "Better".

I never had fixing a cat really change their personality... so I'm guessing you don't have to worry.
