I just need them to be thoroughly cooked to include in a recipe

They will be rubbery as hell if you cook them in the microwave. Cooking them in a pan or bake them. Use a bit of olive oil in the pan to keep them tasting fresh and good, and not like a piece of nasty rubber.

Hmm... the best way to do it would be by using some kind of microwave steamer... otherwise it will come out dry and funky.... As far as the best time allowance.... you'd need to go according to the feel for your microwave.... all microwaves cook a little bit differently .. I'd say that your microwave is a newer model .. it should have a guideline.... start at 8 minutes and carry on from there....

I'm with most of the rest of the suggestions... unless its for a soup you'll pretty much ruin the chicken by solely cooking it in the microwave. Take the extra time and bake, broil or even boil it.

8 mins. at full power is good starting point.dot with butter or your pref.sprinkle with pepper,maybe mrs. dash,whatever u like.Cover with wax paper,or saran wrap and leave a vent for steam 2 escape.Beats a hot stove anyday!!
