I had 2 somethings blue. I wore crystals in my hair that were aqua blue and clear and barefoot sandals made of aqua blue beads. They both went with my sister's (MOH) dress.

My good friend and bridesmaid made me a bracelet that had blue heart shaped beads, crystal beads and three crosses. One is my baptism cross, the second my confirmation cross and the third was to symbolize my wedding day. It is a beautiful gift and a piece I can wear again and again and it was not the typical garter. It will be fun to wear on all my anniversaries and a "pass down" keep sake for when I have children...Just think some day I could have a great great granddaughter or to be great great granddaughter-in-law wearing at her wedding!

Don't laugh! My mom had purchased these white satin slippers for me but my dad and I have had this joke about how I would wear cowboy boots down the aisle every since I can remember. Of coure, Mom would always say, "Over my dead body!" So, needless to say, I did!I actually found a pair of baby blue western boots and wore those under my gown. Well ,as my (now ex) hubby and I knelt at the alter, my gown lifted enough to show my boots off and all I could hear was my mom gasping in the front row! It was all I could do not to turn and give her a big grin!!

When I was a baby, my grandma (just passed on) made me a blue bonnet. It was made for when I get married to be used as a handkerchief placed somewhere near to my heart (i.e. in bra).

I feel so honored to be able to use it, too. When my grams passed, she also left me her wedding ring from 1920. I cried when they gave it to me.

Not my wedding, cousins. I think the garter plus her watch. Yes, watch, she had a major tan outline of her watch that we just told her to keep it on!

I bought a heart shaped charm that I attached to my garter. It was beautiful. My maids wore navy.
