I honestly think you miss the point. As a Pagan I take the existence of the Gods on faith. The whole point of Faith is accepting a proposition without empirical demonstration. You, on the other hand, take the non-existence of the Gods without empirical demonstration, also an act of faith. Atheists claim that because no empirical evidence of the existence of the Gods can be provided, then that is evidence of the contrary, except that if they actually want to invoke Scientific logic, you cannot prove a negative. Clearly no atheist wants a logical argument, since that would require them to do something other than claim they are inherently right, making them no different from the fundies. Ultimately, no-one can know for sure one way or the other, and all the insults, vilification, and diatribes are nothing more than the sand-box arguments of kindergarten children screaming that their dad can beat up your dad. If you are nothing more than a 5 year old, what is there to think about?

I like how personal people are getting here, and forgetting the true value of a non biased answer!
Atheists, from my experience with an extremely religious family - and me not being said; make children and others hold on tighter to their belief system. When they encounter an atheist - specially one that is doing much better than themselves in life - they band together to put it down and pat themselves on the back, to reassure themselves.
This is seen in all groups of society that rely on absolutism - while atheists are extremists in the sense of the absolute "there is no God" while agnostics may range from "there is something" to "meh whatever"; Christians, Islamics and Jews believe in the same God - and the same understanding "There IS God, and without him nothing else."
Thus, they become absolute in their sense of reality, and refuse to believe simple things such as Christianity is merely a story about how we all belong in Energy. Over thousands of years the metaphors and allegories of the time mean something vastly different than they did now.
Atheists and Christians, however, are all vital in the wheel of life. They both oppose each other so strongly - and they forget that without the resistance of each other there would be no other. We are all X, and thus we do not argue - as a collective humanity - about X. If X is breathing oxygen everyone agrees. If X was praising God, and we all agreed, God would seize to exist.

A bit of both I guess. I'm a firm believer of God and it might lead me to think of the reasons why Atheists think the way they do and I can sometimes put myself in their position and can see why they don't want to put their faith in a 'God' or creator. But at the same time I think less because I know what it is that I believe and am sure of it, so I guess nothing else matters that much. Haha, it's a bit of both sides...
Believing in a 'God' is not purely about believing in life after death or whether or not you live your life in a 'good' way. From my perspective, a belief in a higher existence is a form of hope and security. Some say it is for those who are weak, but as a human race - we ARE weak. You may think you control your life but it can be taken away from you at any time when you least expect it. Our life is not purely controlled by us, the goverment and the economy (to list but a few) all play a major role. I'll shut up now, because this can get long winded, but you get the idea! Hope this helps!

"Do us Atheists make you God believers think more or less?" - If your question is respectful, then I'm sure the answer is well thought out and taken seriously, and thinking would be involved. If the question is just to insult, then the answers curt shortness suggests no one was fooled to think hard.
"I know we bring up things that you don't like to think about." - In my experience it is hard to bring up something that Christians won't care anything about to clear up. All respectful questions have a reason, Christians will see this and answer in accord to the person seeking knowledge, with a sincere thoughtful response.
This applies to non-Christians also, as YOU know-when people ask you things - as insulting questions can not hurt the responder, so much as labels the person asking the question as immature. This immaturity hopefully will go away with education, and age.
SO ASK AWAY!! No question respectfull asked that leads to more true knowledge will be ignored.

And God believers say things that would make Atheists think about. I'm in the middle of the road, so I am keeping an open opinion from all religions.

Definitely more, actually you bring up things we do like to think about like the existence of God and proving that he does exist, and giving us the opportunity to come up with questions like; if atheism is true, and why is there no atheistic culture? Wouldn't someone through out the thousands and thousands of years of human history had accidentally started culture based on no religion or spirituality? And if as atheists have started to contend, that religion is an evolved trait, then is not atheism a threat to the survival of our species? It certainly explain why atheist are always killing millions of people when they get into power.

I believe what I believe and no one is going to change my mind, I'm also not going to tell anyone else what to believe.
Most of the 'questions' posed by 'atheists' here are just stupid comments like 'God sucks' or 'Christianity sucks'. Those questions don't make me think at all to be honest.
I don't see why people can't leave others to their own beliefs.
When I saw your question I was inclined to agree with seahawksmd (the guy who answered just before me) that you seemed to be more mature than other people here, but now I've seen your other questions I've changed my mind, you can't make a point about something without resorting to stupid insults.

This is a good one for a change. I believe in God more based upon reasoned discussions with atheists (sorry, I had not seen anyone else capitalize that before) who can actually challenge beliefs and statements without resorting to mockery and insults.
The key thing that I have come to better understand is that it is impossible to prove OR disprove the existence of God. That is why religions are referred to as 'faiths' or 'beliefs', for that is precisely what they are.
Reasoned atheists who make good points and can explain their views make me think more. Juvenille atheists who merely insult others and deny things, without presenting contrasting reasons strike me as mature as my five year old who says she doesn't like peas, without ever trying them.
You seem to fall into the first category, based on the statement of this question, and its tone.

Actually it makes me think more about God. When you bring up question about Christianity it makes me want to know the answer. I start studying more and more in the Bible, and see the God truly is my king. The questions that are to insult us and mock God make me want to stick up for Christ. It also teaches me to keep my head cooled and not always say nasty things back. Honestly I can get so mad at you guys when you insult Christians and Christ, but God is showing me that he loves you guys too. God has been teaching so many valuable lessons on this site. And because of you guys that bring me closer to God, I give a heartfelt thank you! Thank you again and again! God has used you for his purposes. Isn't that amazing?!
