A diesel's most efficient in a very narrow RPM range, typically they turn a lot slower than a gas engine, you need to maybe call the dealership and ask em, if it's a manual you can usually tell where 'the end' is with a diesel pretty quick, you don't need a lot of throttle with a diesel, mainly a little patience. The newer diesels tend to spin a bit faster, but that doesn't mean wrap the engine on every shift. Motto is 'be gentle' and learn to use your momentum when you drive...

Veggie Oil - Yes it works Short term but suggest not from resturant as the smell of indian or chips does follow you as you drive, and the penalty is re-posesion of your car (you loose it) points on licence/licence revocation AND a fine!!!

Diesels are more economical anyway the best way to run them is between 1500rpm/2000rmp. toolow and engine struggles and buggers up, too much you burn more fuel...

Good luck... (dont turn veggie)

well this only works for disel cars but put some veggie oil in it. get a kit online for about 150 bucks and then there you go, you get a mile or less to the gallon but getting veggie oil from resturants and filtering it for 24 hrs. and paying nothing , it's worth it. i think www.lovecraftbiofuels.com has more info on that site
