I'm not a Muslim and I do not consider Islam a terrorist religion.
I think the word Islam is connected to word for peace.
You should publicly condemn terrorism, as did your leaders.

In our old home town in certain part of S.E. Asia, we discovered mosques kept weapons. That was during the communal riot era in the late 60s. There were many Chinese stained despite the fact they are a majority in some states.
But no weapons were found in temples and church. It had never happened that other races/ religious groups burned mosques in our closest neigbour. But other places of worship torched or demolished by fanatics and even the biased govt.until today.
Ask yourself, if the 1,800 yrs old Buddha statues were destroyed by Taliban in Afghanistan, did Buddhist went on rampage? What about the oldest stupa, largest Buddhist monument in the world which were destroyed/ damaged by Muslims, were there any retaliation?
When Chinese were raped and murdered in the Indonesia riot some years back, any Chinese took revenge on? Yet Chinese are the major sponsors/ donors for these natural calamities such as tsunami, volcanic eruptions and earth quakes.
What a renowned Middle Eastern cleric remarked about these natural calamities. It's the Will of ALLAH! They are SINNER to be punished by Allah. Right in the most strictest Islamic state of the Indonesia, Aceh, such words were used on them? No protest and breaking tie?
But when certain Muslim country caught in trouble, they go into riot after Friday prayers and vow vengeance. Without thinking in return what other had helped them. They should be protesting on humanitarian grounds not on religious belief.
Just couldn't figure why there isn't any Buddhist Terrorist or Taoist fanatics? Guess they have a lot to learn from Muslim to make their voices heard...

As salaamu alaikum,
I have simply been looking for sincere questions and doing my best to give informed answers, always coming with textual proof and not simply opinion based on experiences or what I feel or desire. Insha'Allah.
Also, I do not attempt to come defensively or with a need to defend Islam, which is perfect and needs no defense. And I often point out the difference between the religion and the people; the religion is perfect and beautiful, the people can be obedient or disobedient and are not the religion.
For those who seek knowledge (Muslim or non-Muslim), it is a collective obligation for Muslims to answer them to the best of our ability. And Allah Knows Best.

Don't make the mistake of believing all non-Muslims have judged Islam to be a religion of nothing more than hate and destruction. People with intelligence and education know better.
Certainly your faith is going through a horrific period of change, with all the world as witness.
But we are not, after all, that far removed in time from the Christian church's most appalling period of murderous upheaval, and that must be remembered.
Those whose only response to hate is hate have always tried to cripple the human spirit.
Though they may win temporary skirmishes, they will always, ALWAYS, cause their own downfall.
Have faith. Don't hate. It may be the best any of us can do.

Yeah bro, i m right here with u ........... i m actually trying to clear others' misconceptions abt Islam, but very few are interested in seeking the truth, the rest are just here to kid around, or they cannot see past through their pre-conceived notions ....... but i m with u whatever u decide. It seems a waste of time to keep trying ......... but we have to keep trying, 'coz even one person seeking the truth, finds it over here, then we would be successful. So, maybe we can ask them questions abt the misconceptions in Islam, get their views, and give them a reply which clearifies, 'coz evidently these ppl are dented by the ppl like salam rushdie who writes books and spreads misconceptions abt Islam.

many tried before you.. and unfortunately most received rude and disrespectful replies from ignorant people..

this web page plays a good documentary (one of many) that shows how the so-called "muslim" terrorists such as Bin laden and Saddam Hussein are all part of the deception of the U.S. & Israel.
Who are the real terrorists now?
terrorism has no religion, only ignorant fools who have no sort of any knowledge or education believe everything they hear and blame Islam when they know nothing about it.

If you want to paint a positive image of Islam, then you will need
to condemn all Islamo Fascist Terrorists as often as Christian
talk and preach Jesus. I challenge you to do this. Sadly I think
I am spitting to the wind.

You have a steep hill to climb if you are going to convince non-muslims of your peaceful intentions. You may begin by answering why there are 5,529 deadly acts of terror in Allah's name since Sept 11th.
