ex navy honorable discharge good enough for the national guard

As far as the Navy at large, don't know. I do know that my command has been told to cut 400 shore duty billets.
The Army and National Guard, on the other hand, will almost certainly be interested, and they are probably offering very nice enlistment bonuses, especially here in California - the guard here has the double whammy of Iraq and the border mission to support.

I have heard that the navy and airforce are downsizing. They were offering people already enlisted some sort of bonuses to transfer into the army and marines. That is where the most help is needed right now. I don't know all of the details,but maybe someone here does. If you really want to join try the army or marines. You might need basic training again though. That might be why you are having trouble.

I have just been informed that it is called the blue to green program. AND IT DOES EXIST!

How long have you been trying? What did the recruiter say? How long has it been since you were discharged? If you think you are being slighted threaten to go to the next town and see another recruiting office...
