You come upon two doors. One leads to life and the other to death. Before the two doors are two guardians, one always tells the truth and on will always lie. Which door is which, and which guardian is which is a total mystery to you. What is the one question that you can ask to reveal which door leads to life and which guardian is which.
*Remember you get one question asked to both guardians at the same time. The question must reveal all identities.*

You ask one of them what the other one would say is the door leading to life. Then you pick the other door.

I don't know of a way to ask the question so that it would reveal the identity of the two guardians. The only way to know which door is which is to ask a question that gets the same response from both guardians - which is the question I gave above. But, since the question gets the same response from both guardians it can't give you their identities.

You ask one of them how the other guardian would respond to the question: Which door leads to life?
The truthful guardian will tell you honestly how the lying guardian would respond. The door that leads to life will be the opposite door he responds with. If you happened to ask that question to the lying guardian, they will tell you the opposite of the truthful guardian, which will again be the wrong door, and again you can pick the opposite door.
